LGBTQ Healthcare Needs

Campus Health provides medical and psychiatric care to students of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions. We are a Safe Zone designated site and strive to create a welcoming, affirming campus environment for all students. We share common goals with the University of Louisville LGBT Center as we strive to strengthen and sustain an inclusive campus community at the University of Louisville. Our staff and providers have additional training to recognize the needs and expectations of our LGBTQ patients.

PrEP for HIV prevention

Campus Health is proud to provide PrEP for students who are at risk of getting HIV.  PrEP is a once-daily medication that reduces your risk of acquiring HIV.  It should be used in conjunction with safe sex practices to reduce your risk of HIV as much as possible.  Contact either of our offices and schedule an appointment to discuss with any of our providers.

Transgender Hormone Therapy

Whether you are interested in initiating or continuing transgender hormone therapy we provide these services within the health center. You do not need to be referred by a counselor or psychiatrist. We are happy to discuss the process of transgender hormone treatment with you. Please contact the Health Center at 502-852-6479 (Cardinal Station) or 502-852-6446 (HSC Office) and request an appointment to discuss hormone treatment. We look forward to working with you.
